Also, I noticed that no one was riding on the one with the gym equipment. You can get a gaggle of pretty girls to ride in a spud, but no he-men man enough to lift weights for five miles, eh?

I'll try to answer some questions here. I finally got blogger to work, so I hope it looks better to everyone now! (at least its working in Firefox)

Alisonwonderland: There was ONE lone horse, and it was mini, mini sized, like knee-hi. No rodeo stuff here, not advertised anyways.
Misslionheart: I would LOVE to buy cereal in bulk like that for my family!
Michelle: Umm, we had $.25 ice cream during the parade, LOL. And afterwards the train depot does a free ice cream social!
di: I didn't post the pics of the people in the floats jumping off to hug my kids, or my kids running up to cars begging for handouts from friends, lol. Lots of hollaring to friends, and LOTS of extra candy.
Jessica: That sink was actually RUNNING water the whole time!
Darla: You cracked me up! Fat Elvis on the gym would have been a great advertisement!
Dane, Hayrides are awesome! They are always in Midwest parades, because they are a staple, so is 4-H. You wouldn't find it in the Macy's Day parade, though!

We went to a "parade" the other day at the Gooberfest in a nearby town. Not even a real float. Just a bunch of old guys and politicians in cars. And a band, I think.

The funniest thing was that the absolute second the parade was over, like, following right behind the last fire engine, was the most amazing red-neck-mobile. It was an old beat up 80's-something car with all the windows down and about 18 scuzzy looking adults and dirty, straggly children crammed inside. The look on everyone's faces was classic. "Is this really part of the parade!?!" It wasn't. They were just leaving.
